Escape this world!

Do you ever get the feeling that you just want to escape this world, distract yourself from everything happening around you?

The feeling that nothing matters anymore, that you don't care about politics or whats going on around you. The need to just isolate yourself and live in your own world, your own bubble with no one to disturb or annoy you. You don't want to talk to anyone or see anyone, you just want to be left alone. You put on your headphones and listen to music with the volume up, watch your favorite show on your computer, watch your favorite movie "which probably you have watched before at least 15 times", write, read, sleep, play with your pet, go have a walk outside or even travel somewhere. Different kinds of actions but they all serve the same purpose.. escaping.

Wanting to escape doesn't mean that you are weak, or a coward. It just means that you had too much to deal with that you just need a break from all of the troubles around you for we are humans and we have limits and we sometimes just reach a level where we just can't take it anymore.

So whenever you just want to escape, just do it. Pick your favorite thing you like to do and do it. Don't hesitate, don't back off, do it and you will feel so much better. Do it because you owe it to yourself.

Fun activities for team members

A good work environment is the base of every successful organization. From providing food and drinks to different means of entertainment, games and fun bonding activities between members can help a lot in making employees happy and therefor increase their performance.

Here are some ideas that in my opinion can help increase bonds between members and make work more fun and enjoyable.

      1. Put a humor section on the bulletin board and invite team members to post things they find funny (keeping good taste in mind, of course). Jokes, drawings or anything they find funny can be posted on the board.

      2. Find out what your team members are good at. If you give them something they actually have passion for and are good at, then they’ll want to grow and develop this skill. So figure out what the true genius zone is for each team member and shift their roles around to unleash their true potential. See it as talent chess.

 3. Let each member write "Quote of the day" on a bulletin board or a simple board or even paper.
4. A different task should be set to one member each day. But this task should include interacting with another member like: Today John should get Mike a cup of coffee, or Ana should shake hands with Sarah. Some stuff like those, could be fun and increase bonds between team members.

5. Advice of the day: Ask each team member to prepare an advice to tell the rest of the team. Each day one member should give a different and a good advice to the rest of the members or a simple tip on how to be happy.

6. Once per week a member should get an extra 30-min. break.

7. One-on-one sessions: Team leader should set for each member a day every week for one-on-one sessions for the member if they want to discuss any personal issues or any problem facing them outside work.

     8. A quick work question sent via e-mail to each member. And the first to answer the question correctly should get a simple prize like chocolate.

9. If possible, a member can bring a homemade dessert or any type of food to enjoy with the rest of the team members.

10. Write different name tags with descriptions on them like "The funny one, the smart one, the naughty one,…etc" and ask every member's opinion on which person they think should get each "nickname" and the most voted nickname for each member should be hanged on their clothes for a whole week.

What happened to simplicity?

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”  - Confucius

Everything used to be simple, simple things made us happy. A simple smile, a simple hello, a simple gift everything was so simple. Now, it's not like that. Everything is much more complicated than it used to be! Emotions are complicated, happiness is complicated, relationships are complicated.

Why is it so hard to just simply tell someone that you miss them and getting actually the chance to see them. Why is it so hard to open up to someone without being afraid of getting hurt. Why did it become so hard to say how you really feel about someone?

I wonder when did life get so complicated. Is it a rule that the older you get, the more complicated things become? Or do we do that to ourselves. Is it the increase of responsibilities that does this to us or we are just programmed to feel this way.

I just wish life is now as simple as it used to be when I was younger. No problems or crowded brains with suffocating thoughts. Sleeping peacefully at night, and waking up with a clear mind in the morning.

I think we all want to live a simpler life but the people around us are not helping. It's either your boss at work or your family at home, your husband, your children, your neighbors. Some people unfortunately complicate our lives unintentionally but they do and sometimes you just can't escape those people or even tell them that they are actually making your life harder. So I guess leading a simple life does not depend on you but on the people around you as well.

Anyhow, I still think that one should do everything possible to keep his life as much simple as possible by trying to do the simple things that used to make him happy over and over again. Reading a good book, drinking a hot cup of coffee, waking up with a big smile in the morning, seeing an old friend, buying yourself a gift every now and then, making someone else happy, playing with your pet, .... etc
These things are simple pleasures that people should always remember to do.
These things make life simpler!

When everything is just boring!

It's one of those days when everything is just boring. Doing anything no matter what seems meaningless and boring. I try to do something different and yet end up feeling the same, BORED!

I hate these days, I just feel so depressed and lonely. Waiting for something big to happen, an event that could change my life, but until now NOTHING!

Don't you just hate this feeling, when you know you want something but don't know what it is, or how to get it! Don't you just hate it when the future seems blurry, that you don't know and also can't guess what would happen!

I did change a lot in my life, I did break the daily routine, but I still feel that there is something missing. I think I know what's missing, but I also think that I should not be that bored. I mean I can do a lot of other things that would make me happy, but no, I want all the other things that I can't do or have right now!

Is this weird, is this considered as me being ungrateful for what I already have?
Although what I want is pretty simple, I am not asking for much and maybe that's the problem. I'm not asking for much still I'm not getting it. Maybe it's the feeling that this is so unfair that is making me really sad. Maybe it's because i want simple things that a lot of people already have but not getting any. Not even a little bit!

I hate it when I'm excited about something, then somehow it does not work out the way I expected. This happened a lot to me lately and it really made me feel so down. I am not gonna quit though, I will continue doing everything to try and make myself feel better. I just hope that I won't get disappointed again because it's a terrible feeling.

This is going to get better, I'm sure it will.

Nostalgic Heart "Poem"

Nostalgic heart
please don't cry,
now that we are apart
no need to try

Oh sweet memories
please fade away,
filled with agonies
leading me astray

Tortured brain
think no more,
thoughts are in vain
time to ignore

Oh blissful days
just want to let go,
filled with cliches
one silly show

Wounded feelings
time to heal,
searching for meanings
nothing was real

Oh joyful hours
bittersweet,
your taste sours
everything was a deceit

Tormented thoughts
just forget,
untie your knots
and don't regret

Time to move on
time to be real
realize that it's gone
and seal the deal

Never look back
never remember
don't crack
and don't surrender

One I "Poem"

I wrote this poem like 6 years ago, but I still love it. It is very close to my heart :)

One I

OPENED, apart in morning light
distance between us long,
separating us even at night
sleep never comes along

Obvious, everything can be seen
colourless, tasteless, unpleasant
don't really know what they mean
without you, beside me, present

Only when the time comes,
CLOSED, close and never far.
Nothing can be seen for hours
yet, in a charming world we are

A world different from this one
only you and me side by side.
DREAMING, seeing no but fun,
grief never comes, it must hide

But again we open, become apart
for this is how life goes on;
always ends, comes another start
another wait, again alone...

Waiting for us to meet again,
hoping that you won't be late.
Living really in so much pain
without you, my soul mate

One I, you and me
Meaningless life when not together
In my heart there you'll be
My soul is yours now and forever

Fire and Ice

At the very beginning of the movie "Twilight saga - Eclipse", Bella was reading this poem and it really caught my attention. I didn't know the name of the poem, or who wrote it. Then finally I found it and was really impressed by the amazing choice of words by Robert Frost.

I also thought that it is perfect for the movie, it has so many deep meanings and I really admired the idea of starting the movie with this poem!

Now I keep on reading it over and over again. It is just so amazing! :)

Fire
and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

The Lucky One

A couple of days ago, I watched the movie "The lucky one" starring "Zac Efron" and "Taylor Schilling". At first when I read the plot of the movie, I thought yeah good one but wasn't sure that it was any good!

After watching the movie, I must say I fell in love with it. It's a great movie, great acting and I like it's simplicity.
The idea of looking for someone who saved your life and promising that you would protect this person no matter what and from anything is just so great.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a good romance and a true love story with no complications.

Recipe for Success

I've written this article a while ago and wanted to share it as my first topic here.

Ever felt so alone, depressed, sad!
Ever planned for so many things in your life, but none of your plans worked!
Do you ever feel like a total failure, that you are not lucky enough in this world?

Well join the club; because a lot of people feel this way, strangely enough most of the very successful people these days felt like this before!

So is there a secret recipe that these people followed in order to achieve their goals and become this successful? Actually there is, and it’s actually quite an easy recipe, but unfortunately not all people know about it.

First we will start with the ingredients of the recipe, you will need:

1- A lot of faith in God
2- A lot of belief in yourself
3- A great deal of optimism
4- A handful of enthusiasm
5- Lots and lots of hard work
6- A kilo of good time management

Now on with the Directions;

First you have to mix up the first four ingredients very carefully in order to determine your dream and what you actually want to do with your life, to set up your goal in life and live for something worth living for.

Second and after determining what you really want to do, you have to start working really hard in order to achieve your aim, of course a good time management skill is very important at this stage. Not to forget about the first four ingredients, they are required throughout the entire process.

At the end, take a moment every once in a while to enjoy the good taste of your success and you can repeat these steps whenever you like.

Always believe that you can actually do whatever it is that you want to do, don’t let anyone make you feel less of yourself. Cross all the barriers in the way of your success and get over all limits. And always remember that you CAN do it as long as you are LIVING!
